Street price going to be at US$1500!

What's going to happen to D60 resale value?

Man, don't you hate the dry-mouth feeling when you read about the 10D?

Lust not.

btw....it is just a preview...not full review yet....

here are top 3 reasons why i want 10D...

loves the low noise and ISO3200 (EOS-10D's ISO 1600 is better than the EOS-D60 at ISO 800) - good for taking astrophoto...

magnesium alloy (metal) body....no more plastic body like D30/60

7 pt AF...as fast as EOS30

10x zoom during playback with vertical & horizontal panning

the new AI Focus mode the camera will automatically switch from One Shot AF to AI Servo AF if the focus locked subject begins to move

ops...more than 3...

with all this interest, you probably can start an MO for the 10D at CP or other place..one shot order 10-20 set from them i'm sure they'll be more than willing to pre-order for you with some goodies thrown in

In this case ,IF it does happen...
That's probably be the Most Exxxpensive MO ever !

MAy be Can, estimating the number of potential buyer by counting the number of D30+D60 owner here

What if Nikon has a D100 replacement announced at PMA2003?

"I" can expect the PRICE war ..

dun think I will upgrade ... compare the quality of D60 and 10D , they look 90% similar.

same AF speed as EOS 30 ? still not fast enuff for capturing action shots ...

/me think is better to save up for a pro camera

10D or 1D?

Advantages of each.

10D

1. CMOS sensor (smoother?), 6 MP
2. Estimated S$3500? with rapid depreciation in a year's time
3. Built-in flash
4. Smaller size - better for street shooting, option to use BG-ED3

1D

1. 1.3X vs 1.6X crop factor
2. Approx $5K second hand, slower depreciation (hopefully)
3. 8 fps
4. 45 AF points, fastest
5. 4 MP takes up less space on CF card
6. Professional build, environmentally sealed, shutter guaranteed to 150,000 shots (this suddenly became important to me!)
7. Larger CCD - bigger pixels
8. Hybrid AWB

Hmmm....

Same here. 10D is like 1/2 upgrade from D60. But it's very tempting to D30 owners hor?
