Was playing with the D200, very unhappy that I have not been able to get an IR pic out of this cam. I know that some have tried and are succesful, so I decided to try it this afternoon.
I was able to set CWB, so did some test shots. Here is one of the can see ones, PP done hastily so please forgive the sloppy work. Main purpose is to share the type of results that can be got from the D200. Please give your opinions. Do not ask me exposure time, you will not want to know. Hint - longer than PandaOng with this 20D. I will definitely not use the D200 for IR. Here is the pic done with the 18-70 D70 Kit Lens. Shot out of my balcony again ... my favourite test scene.![]() |

Eeeks, not nice at all.
Can't put my finger on it.. It's like the exposure is not uniform? Something like that. |

But anyway will not be trying again, don't want to waste time Results not as good as the D70, whether mod or un-mod. |

Doesn't seem like your fault, I have never gotten anything like that even with my H2 when I first started playing with it.. Hee hee.

I can't stand the long exposure time of IR with the D200.
Have to bring tripod for shoots, too troublesome. |

![]() D200 can shoot lar...but requires damn long exposure, and of course must measure WB correctly. I went through a lot of PP with those shot with D200., but then it also dependent on the lens used. Last edited by photographique; 4th March 2007 at 02:43 PM. |
