This is not a review but just some trigger happy test shots of the 550 with 100% cropping.
For a 18x zoom I consider it to very good and on top of that the stabilization really works. #01 ![]() #01 crop ![]() #02 ![]() #02 crop ![]() Last edited by Dennis; 22nd February 2007 at 08:44 AM. |

Many thanks for sharing the test shots with the 550. Looks like a pretty capable prosumer camera. How does it handle? Is it ergonomic for you?

Construction wise I should say pretty well made and solid.
Ergonomic wise also very comfortable even after long usage. The only thing I have problem with is the cap, comes off too easily and it is too near the front element so much so that it will touch the front element if you happen to press just a little harder. Waiting for the adaptor so that I can permanently fix a filter and a proper lens cap. The other being the slow shot to shot and focussing. Like I say for a 18x zoom with wide angle capability at that kind of price point there is nothing much to complaint about. |

Just shot off the window in P mode. Will try to do more in various ISO once I get the time. Slightly PP ![]() Straight from cam around 7+ pm ![]() Straight from cam at night ![]() |
