Default Er, Singapore Zoo

I found today that animals are generally, not suitable for IR photography unless you have a modded cam. Until you can find an animal that loves to run about in the hot sun and can keep still for 1 second and isn't sleeping, that is.. =D

But anyways, in general Singapore Zoo isn't too suited for IR I think. I kept putting on and then taking off my R72.. =(

In any case, still managed to shoot some, here goes; same thing, all C&C welcome.

Nor really, you gotta have patience. Sit down, watch them, camera ready, there will come a time when they're tired and will stop for a few moments. Shoot.

Here are some pictures I shot handheld at the zoo before I modded my D70.

Hope you don't mind my posting pictures in your thread. Just want to show that it's possible to get ok shots. Let me know if you're not comfortable I will remove them.

Wa, the last one is nice!

You are giving me all sorts of new ideas.. Must.. Resist...

Hrmph, actually I tried the white tiger only, was in the shade. Then after it shook its head twice because I needed 4 second exposure to get everything right.. I gave up. =D Actually I wonder if I should have gone ahead and processed it anyways, it wasn't -that- bad, just a little.. Not to my liking.

Pretty nice sia.. Maybe one day I'll go back again. Today was trying to break out of IR for a while, so after taking out the filter unknowingly to try, I stuffed it somewhere relatively inaccessible.. Very lazy to keep putting the filter on and take out.. I think if shoot IR must just keep shooting IR, cannot half this half that. Hehe.

No problem with you showing pics, I get to learn some more! =D

The last one was a 6sec shot.

When you go again, shoot these guys. Guarantee won't move one, they're at the open space outside the entrance.

STATUES right, aha, ya I saw.. =D

You know, without the baby elephant, which looks a bit fake, they could pass for real elephants!
