Anyone encountered problems installing software?

Tried installing the software for my V2.After I plugged my cam in,there was this 'New Hardware Detected' message which told me that I need my installation CD-ROM to find some 'missing file'.But I was busy then,so I clicked 'Cancel' for all the files.Later on,when I tried to reinstall the drivers for my V2,the 'New Hardware Detected' message never come out already.Now the computer cannot detect my cam!Anyone can help with this?Thanks!
