Default Windows Startup Problem : Please Help

    Hi all...

My computer has a problem, it gets stucked at the Windows logo as it is starting up and the progress bar below the logo just keeps running, but doesnt proceed to boot up fully.

Anyone knows where I can find some info to rectify this problem?

    Thanks.

Hardware problem most often just get stuck before you even seen any logo. But to be safe, log in through F8, click START-> RUN... then type "chkdsk /F". It will prompt you to re-start.

I suspect you have registry problem... so if you got past Windows then start fixing your registry. If not, F8 and continue fixing your registry. Then proceed to weed out any spyware or virus. And finally defrag.
