Drop by Ubud too. Lots of handicraft made by local craftsmen at very cheap prices.

    Buy things remember to bargain.

Polo Ralph clothing very cheap too.

Remember to drink A&W rootbeer float.

Check out Pacung, Tabanan. The padi field is equal to those in Ubud.

I don't know how to post pix here so go to http://bdjojo.fotopic.net/c1005293.html for Bali pix. not many but couple of them.

It is in Kuta area, very famous beach resort, not far from the airport. All taxi drivers will know.

Walking distance to Hard Rock Cafe and the Kuta shopping area.

Talking about taxis, lots of Toyota Vios are used as taxis there.

when u're at ubud i'd recommend the following places for lunch:

naughty nuri's - great place for ribs.
    bebek benkil (the dirty duck)
    muri's warung

    for massages u can try:

    COZY Foot Reflexology Aromatherapy
    JL. Sunset Blok A No.3
Pertokoan Niaga Dewa Ruci and Utara Bali Mall Galeria
    TEL: 0361-766762
about rp.77.000 for a full body massage(if i remember correctly)

    or if u're in seminyak:

    BODYWORKS
    Jln. Kayu Jati 2,
    Petitenget, Kerobokan
    TEL: 0361-733317
    they start from about rp.120.000

if you're into vegetarian food, can try the Blue Buddha in Ubud...excellent food and this is coming from a carnivore-for-life...Ary's Warung was good but abit ex (last time I was there was on business so lunch was free )...

for the second day, you can visit Pura Taman Ayun which is relatively near to Tanah Lot...and also catch some scenic padi field views around Tabanan (just ask the driver...they'll know the best views) before heading to Tanah Lot for sunset...

Hi RBK, if I were to visit Pura Taman Ayun and padi field and Tanah Lot, what time should i leave my hotel and how long will this whole trip take?

Basically, what is a good time to reach Tanah Lot to prepare for the sunset?

    sunset is 6pm singapore time.

i would suggest that u to plan a whole day trip, which cost abt rp300,000 +/- with driver and english speaking guide. can bargain for lower price. they will pick u up at the hotel. u can find alot of these local tour operators along the road leading to discovery mall.

I think its best to consult the hotel consierge about the time of sunset that time of the year...also, the time of commute really depends on the speed (read: recklessness) of the driver so might want to consult them as well...on a school day with minimal traffic should be quite fast...last time i was there, there was also quite a bit of road works in Tabanan area so traffic was quite slow, so that is a factor as well...
