1st let me wish a Happy chinese New year 2007 for all the bro and sister out there
![]() As today I have been shopping for CNY clothing, I come across a camera store which sell 2nd lens for both nikon and canon. I was hopping to see if I can get a cheap micro lens. This nice boss have recommanding me a "micro Ring". To use it, all you have to do is attach the ring to the camera mount, then using the kits lens(or wherever the lens you have), and mount "in front" of the lens. Which mean camera body mounting the front part of the lens rather then the back of the lens. Have anybody using it, care to share if it working? ![]() |

Dude, your phrasing is seriously out of whack. I can hardly understand what you're trying to say. What is '2nd lens'? Also very vague is the last phrase, 'Which mean camera body mounting the front part of the lens rather then the back of the lens.' (+evenstar will surely put in a few words about this)
From the scarce little that I can gather, you are talking about a reverse ring. Don't know much about them, but it's supposed to be a cheap alternative for macro photography if i'm not wrong. |

You can check out on my Macros work ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/Stevewhy ) you can decide which setup suits you, for reverse ring or stacking of 2 lenses is not easy for everyone.
Here's the sample of the stacking of 2 lenses shots, working distance about 1", but not with Canon. ![]() |
