Default ideas and themes for low key portraits

No cockadoodledoo talk here.if i do not mind the TCSS, i would have started the thread in kopitiam.

since there are so many days for CNY, i'm thinking of shooting some low key portraits.
as my studio knowlegde is very limited,
i need themes and ideas to go about doing it.
please throw me some suggestions, and poses.

TIA.

Low key does not just refer to lighting. It is the background and clothing colour too.

I hope you don't mean underexposing by the "dim" lighting. It's more on playing with the lighting ratios.

when i look at low key pics, it takes my heart entirely...
