![]() Circle of Light (COL) is proud to announce the launch of a new annual photo competition for Black & White (B&W) photo enthusiasts. COL is a group of professional and serious amateur photographers residing in Singapore that all share a common interest in B&W photography. The goal of the COL membership is to promote and advance the understanding of B&W photography and fine art B&W print production. This competition is an attempt to slow people down before they click the shutter - to get people back to thinking about what the final image is going to look like - use their “Grey Matter” - before they click the shutter. Full details on the competition can be found here For enquires, please email us at greymatters07@gmail.com Last edited by vortex; 15th February 2007 at 11:17 AM. |

I think the post says for more details, click the link above......So, ChrisLim, u may like to do just that to get the answers.
yes, the competition is only for film only, but can be 35mm or 120mm format film, u choose la..... This competition only open to first 50 persons who register la.....I think becos they got only that much resources and manpower to do it in small scale the 1st time. Let the event grow la....later then can do BIG BIG ma.... |

Please note there is a limit of 50 participants. And you must pre-register. You can download the registration form here: http://ecircleoflight.org/greymatters_register.pdf The competition will be a very challenging 3-hour, 3-topics, 3-images event! The competition is scheduled to start at 0830 hrs Sunday 25 March 2007 at Café F’Stop,17/19 South Bridge Road. On that day a participant will be provided with roll of B&W film (either 35mm or 120 roll film) and three topics. They then will be required to interpret and compose 1 image for each topic and expose only three images onto their film in the order the topics are presented are over a 3-hour period. By 1230 hrs the exposed film must be returned to the event organizers to qualify for judging. The film will then be processed and the 3 images hand printed as a 5x7 straight prints by a professional darkroom worker.
