Default Wakeboarding shoots over the last weekend

Thanks to Leonard of WakeTime, else I won't have a chance to shoot on the speedcraft with the guys in action. It's really difficult to take action shots on the boat, totally different from shooting from shore.

It's shot in Punggol Marina.

Not sure if there's any more chances to shoot on the boat.

Whenever the boat jerks, hold on to our dear lives! But i think it's kinda tough on the driver cos of the much more added weight .......dun think got so many people in a boat at once usually.

How do you merge the photo 5 in a series?

I;m shooting Av mode. For most shots taken on the chaser boat , they r blur becos of the sudden changes in distance when the boat moves and when the wakeboarder is doing his stunts, auto focussing also useless. When I'm on the main boat becos of the fixed distance I set to manual focus. Pre-focus at a point n shot wth Av mode as well.

Lighting condition is a nightmare as u can see the photos are either over or under, if i can shoot it again, i will try using M mode.

Don't think will capsize, the sea is pretty calm, more of dropping the cam into the sea or water splashing onto the cam. If really worry maybe a weather sealed lens or body or wate casing.

Merge using Photoshop. The pics were under and kinda blur so i thought i can save it using merging it.

See you got all the great riders out, Terry, Jim, Brandyn and Roger. All behind the XStar?

Brandyn's getting really good now too.

Great shots. I use an FZ30 for my stuff, but nothing as dramatic, just me and my gf when we ride.

You're lucky you still went into the channel, most boats now go to the islands and it's a pain to do anything there, ride or take photos....

Wow, i noe they r good riders but didn't know they r that well known. I dun wakeboard due to my torn ligaments in both knees n a dislocated shoulder injury.

Oh, the community is really small so everyone sort of knows everyone. But yeah, all of them are good riders, especially Roger Koa. Brandyn is another great rider but don't know how much longer he'll be in Singapore.

Ah, well, I've got a torn Meniscus & ACL on my left knee plus a plethora of other injuries from rugby in the past and I can't stop wakeboarding...absolutely love it.

Let me know if you ever go out with them again, would love to just go out and shoot w/o riding

Agree, Roger is great, he's so natural in it. I don't think i will be going out with them anytime soon cos I'm back in Australia now.
