    if i have a uv filter on the lens, can i not take it out and apply a
    Polarizer filter on top of th UV filteR?? anybody try before?

    yes, you would lose 1 (or 2??) stops of light.
    also, there may be vigenetting.

    of course u can. the only concern abt stacking filters is vignetting. guideline is not to stack too many. shouldn't be a prob unless its at the wide end. got to check before taking the shots.
