Hi everyone,
Just checking for good models for Canon. I'm a Nikon person so I don't know much about Canon! I'm checking for a friend of mine who's thinking of getting one. I don't know what's her budget but I guess not too high? Also, I suggest getting one that uses AA batteries. I really hate those rechargeable batteries. It's a pain when you are travelling and have the camera die on you. So... which would you experts recommend? We're thinking of going tomorrow to get one. Most probably around Peninsula. I need to get films for myself too. Thank you in advance! |

The battery grips of DSLRs also accept 6x AA batteries. Not sure about the rest but my 350D model does. think the rest except the pro series can accept AA batteries.

got powershot a550 meh?
mine's a540, uses 2x aa batts, pretty decent batt life' is she the sort who goes on long photoshoots or those who just bring cam and take photo of food, self, friends, etc if latter, of no consequence mar, if 290+ of such shots not enough.. (that's the usual batt life for recharge li-on i think, maybe more) then it'll never be enough! =D girls usually prefer ixus leh.. |

Hi! Thanks for the suggestions. So few cameras?
My friend's more of a traveller kind, I think. Not only taking pictures of food, etc. Haha.. I shall let her know and hope she can get good deals! |

As far as I know, all the Canon Powershot series cameras all the way up to S3 IS accept AA batteries. The slim and stylis Ixus range do not. I don't know about the higher end dSLRs.
