A newbie question here but will the 40D be around the same price as 30D maybe just plus 500 more...or way more expensive??

supposely should be cheaper... cos when 20D first launched was somewhere $2.5k while when 30D first launched was somewhere $2.3k

actually the 20D was launched @ $2.8k.

so whilst hopefully, the 40D will launch @ $1.8k, don't forget that it will actually be more of an upgrade than the 20D-30D. so i expect the price to be either around the same or even more.
