Olympus SP-550 18x Ultra Zooooom in stores today !!

Hi Guys,

Just received news from one of my frequent patronize shop, the SP-550 will be made available for purchase today at RRP$849 with 512MB XD Card But stocks limited
Me going down to have a look !!!!!!

thats cool... read from reviews that this camera really impress user with it's function..

Ha, I guess the price to be around 800 to 1K SGD...but didn't expect it to be so soon. But no need to rush to get it, I would say let the price stabilized then go get it. And IT Show is due in Mar.

for the iso 5000 pic, for a non-dslr, its respectable image quality. I wonder if any software has been used to de-noise it?

But a lot a lot a lot of details are lost...

but the ones at iso 200 are pretty good

Hi... got it at Parisilk in Holland Village (where I shop almost exclusively). Cost was abt $720 sgd including GST. Freebie is a 512MB card.

Am v impressed so far - but containing my comments until I can test thoroughly this weekend.

woah... that's around 130 bucks cheaper than rrp... is it only for regulars or us like just drop in will get the price also?... quite tempted to get the 550...

Hey - no that was normal list price over there. So long as they have stock you should get the same deal.

ISO 5000 although lost of lot of detail, but for non dSLR, seem impresive to me
I guess quite a good value for money, with 28mm and super telezoom
