  1. #1

Default Can Sigma Tele Converter use on other 3rd party lens?

    I have two questions:
(1)Anyone tried using a Sigma 1.4X Tele Converter on Nikon lens?
    Can it work?
(2)And has anyone used a Kenko 2X Tele Converter on Sigma HSM lens?
    Can it work?

    Appreciate your help......Thanks!

I have got the Sigma APO 2X TC.
Does not work with my Nikon AFD 80-200f2.8 and some other tele lens(in the sense of AF/AE)..

Really! That's the problem. I'm thinking of getting the Sigma 1.4X EX DG Tele-converter for the 50-500mm and at the same thime it can work with my current Nikon AF 300mm F4.
Need to do more research. Reviews for Sigma 50-500mm is quite good(value for money), now is the TC that I've to consider. if I can't get a TC that can use on this Sigma and my Nikon 300m then i'll probably start researching the Tamron 100mm-500mm. (Don't really like Tamron) Thanks!

Sigma teleconverter comes with different mounts like canon, nikon, sigma, etc

if you own a nikon DSLR body, u need to get sigma teleconverter - nikon mount. Get it ?

Thanks for the info. These are Sigma Apo EX tele-converters, I'm looking at the Sigma EX DG tele-converters that can use on HSM lens which I read in a review that it supports AF but Sigma website indicated MF.

I own both a manual Nikon TC201 and the sigma APO 2X

the APO works great with my sigma 70-200f2.8 HSM...

I have heard that a slight modification would enable the APO to fit nikon lens as well.. You can research on that.
