it is all about getting 'IN' in this conservative society. learning hip hop too .

well, if it does good to the future of the students and kids, sure i would support it, but hope it would not be a burden to us with more increasement in lifestyle spending

These are quite typical of a branding project by overseas consultants. It could just be branding to reposition singapore. Or it might just be surface work.

it is a masterplan for Singapore's development for the next decade. if anyone remembers there was this 'The Next Lap' book sold in schools in early 90s, inside contains general directions set by the government with regards to the country's development in all areas. this one's something like that. you can actually assess what the government intends to move Singapore to, from reading the reports attached inside the website.

Anyone saw the video? Don't know how many regulations have to be violated in order to be technologically advance

Anyway, how different is the 2015 flavour different from the 2000 flavour (aka IT2000)?

Read the reports and come to the conclusion that only firms/organisations will truely benefit from the program. The rest of us become what Marx foretold

OK guys, jokes aside... the more I think about this, the more concerned I get. If you are familiar with Habermas' work, you'll be familiar with the notion of the "colonisation of the lifeworld". In my humble opinion, we are pretty much constraint in our thinking in the name of broader efficacy of our society. iN2015 seems on the flip side, further channel our interests into something that is instrumental even though the intention is not. Does any one know if the Govt is proactively dealing with the unintended social consequences of iN2015 or are they still in the honeymoon stage with technology?

i think the Singapore Gov should concentrate on getting the soccer team qualify for the 2010 World Cup first and foremost. anyone remember their big dream, Goal 2010?
