Hi all
Need some advise here. I got a Canon 350D. What is the difference in 1. Out of focus picture 2. Picture taken that is not sharp due to handshake 3. Soft picture |

1) OOF: Focus is on a subject that is at a different distance from your actual subject. Your intended subject of focus becomes blur, so it's 'out of focus'. Alternatively, the area around your subject may also be termed as OOF if you got your focus correct.
2) Blur from hand shake: Focus may or may not be there, but you can see slight doubling of line and what seems to be movement blur when your subject is stationary. Eg: a straight line | will look like this under hand shake: || 3) Soft images: Can refer to many problems. Soft images generally refer to images that are not sharp, for a variety of reasons. The lens could be a lemon, the photographer may have focused wrongly, or messed the shot up with hand shake, or the subject moved during a slow exposure. Hope this helps. ![]() |

What can be done to reduce handshake? I am pretty sure that my hand is not shaking so much. But the pics I taken is just not sharp enough. |

check your shutter speed...and subject movement

shutter speed is 1/125. f6.3 using ai servo. i am shooting some fashion show.
is that ok? |

1/125 at f/6.3? is it really bright lighting because f/6.3 looks mighty dark to me.
