Default Two snakes

Took these two snakes with my 50mm a few weeks back on 1st Jan 2007 to be exact.

becoz there's glass separating e photographer and the snake? these pics. are taken at the zoo if i'm nt wrong..

haha yes the pictures are taken in the zoo. As the snakes are very close to the glass and I use a 50mm lens... I was not able toget too close. The lens just refuse to focus when I get too near.

first shot is nice though.. just that e angle is kind of weird. pardon me but i also haf a shot of the second snake usin e same lens.. and e subject seems to be larger than wat u haf. used manual focus though..

That is a nice shot. I tried to move closer... but my lens dun seems to be able to focus. Any suggestions?

thx.. well, as i've said, i used manual focus. more accurate and faster.. e AF for e 50 f1.8 is kind of slow and inaccurate under low lighting. sometimes when i use AF, it struggles to focus because of the glass.. besides this, u nid to know wat u want to shoot and dedicate more time to wait for special moments of that subject. i seldom take snakes cause i'm kind of put of by e glass.. prefer to practise in those open-air enclosure like e fragile forest.

I see. Thanks for the wonderful tip. I will try that after CNY as I will be visiting a friend and his reptile home in JB.
