Default Owl ID

Hi everyone,

Today a rare visitor visited my school. Got all the teachers and students very excited before it was attacked by crows and flew away. Could any experts kindly educate me on the scientific as well as common name of the Owl so that i can go back and share with my students? Sorry for the large size and poor res as I used my Vistaquest to shoot. Did not have any other camera on me at that time. thanks!

That a rare encounter. Looks like a Buffy Fish-owl (Ketupa ketupu). Usually found in forest near river, swamps, tall secondary vegetation and agricultural estates. A resident of Spore

My school is near Warren Country Club. At CCK Ave 3. The nearest Water Body would be the Poyan Reservoir and the Pasir Labar Area I believe.
I wished I had my 28-200 with me so i could get a better shot =(
Thank you Ender and Newguy 69 =)

The Owl was attacked by Crows and was last seen heading across the KJE towards Warren Golf and Country Club. Could not see clearly as there were tall trees along the side of the Expressway. I hope the Owl turned out alright.
