Was told by EG that this is a promotion price. This price might not be valid for long!

Write speed. But most camera bodies cannot write close to this!
But at least it is not the card that isn't the bottleneck!

Sorry, my mistake. Should be read and not write. The rated speed is for the read speed and the write speed is lower.

Thanks for pointing that out zaxh81

if write speed is even half of the read speed you should actually be very happy already..

Got 4 8Gb CF cards last night! Am already HAPPY with them and their performance all these while. IMO, worth every dollar. IIRC Extreme III is only 90x.
When I was there, stocks are already low.

Not exactly correct too!

Different manu refers to them differently.

Kingston for eg. referred to the "x" as WRITE speed.
So for Kingston 133x, the write-speed is 133 times 150KBps = 20MBps.
http://www.kingston.com/flash/x/default.asp

Sandisk Extreme III SDcard doesn't rate it similarly, as 133x or 150x etc., but has specs of:
Min 20MB/second** sequential read and write
http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item...II_SD_2GB.aspx

Transcend refers to its 150x as "data transfer rate" namely, "read/write speeds up to an amazing 22.5MB/sec"

Twinmos is extremely vague, not even stating any read/write speeds except for the words, "Ultra fast speeds" for its Ultra-X range.

I guess your your equipment cannot support 4GB SD card. You may want to logon to the equipment website to check for firmware update. Cheers!

Try newer card reader. I have the same problem as you do but on other brand of the SD card though.
