Yeah, hey Mpenza, can share what's the secret of your success? I had a lot of shots being overexposed and some being underexposed.

I'm using the S602Z with a Metz Z1 flash.

Your shot looks great!

The shoot yesterday resulted in 90% of the shots being overexposed or too bright from the wedding gowns. Today I had a lot of dark images.

Thanks A few of the shots did need a little adjustment for the exposure though.

I had experimented for quite a while before I could get more consistent results. What settings did you use on the Metz and the camera? Did you bounce the flash?

On the metz, using the middle A. Bounce as in having a diffuser on it? if so then it's yes and was pointed direct.

nope, bounce means having the flash head tilted. This won't be very useful because there's no wall/ceiling to bounce.

you have a diffuser on... this may explain the underexposure. The flash may not have been powerful enough to light up the subject. Another possible cause is nearby subjects reflecting light back to the flash sensor hence cutting off the flash prematurely.

as for overexposure, it might be the models are too close for the flash range.
