come on guys, nobody has problems here except for Janeth who wants to know if there are still new 350D's in the market.
and Janeth, i think that there ARE still new 350D's in the market, but they will most likely be leftover stock from when the 350D's were still the mainstream entry product. now they'll most likely have been replaced by the 400D's in stores as stores wouldn't want to carry 'dead' stock. would u consider second hand? there are always 350D's for sale second hand.

*shrug* 350D is not phased out from the market. Of course there's still new sets running around. It's now priced to combat D40/D50 IIRC.

Hi guys!
I am intending to get 350D as my first dslr and I don't really mind 1st or 2nd hand. But I have been watching B/S market for around 1 week and seems like most of the 350D CSer are selling does not come with a warr. So I may consider getting a new set with warr if still avaliable in market to safeguard my clumsiness Any pros and cons of getting 1st or 2nd hand camera? And are leftover stocks usually not of good standard? please advice cheers! Last edited by Janeth; 3rd February 2007 at 08:07 AM. |

Product warranty does not cover failure through your clumsiness. You'll need insurance for that. Last edited by Reflection; 3rd February 2007 at 08:59 AM. |

so it's probably worthwhile getting it second hand and just letting it take the bumps and knocks along the way. a camera is built to be used, right?

ahh really?
If thats the case I will pay more attention to B/S. Would you guys consider getting a New set below $1k or 2nd hand at $800 ? I will do more research on what freebies I can get for a new set ![]() |

Second hand at $800 is a very good deal right now. Most people are selling t with the grip for about $900+ which is arealdy damn cheap.
