Default Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) - Italy Alps

After several try I was lucky to get close enough to a fine specimen of chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra).
These two young males were moving around searching for food.
Usually the winter and the snow force this shy animal to move down from the unscalable peak of the Alps.

Here few pics to share. C&C appreciated.
Cheers

#2 - Chamois grazing

Hi starrynight, yes they are really beautiful.
They are very shy, with a nice mimetic fur indeed not an easy catch.

Good to hear you like the no 1, I also like this one.
Thanks for viewing.

Cheers

The first one is the best.
easily a national geographic photo. The DOF could be more pronounced though, and maybe, the animal more to the right, instead of right smack in the middle.

when taking pics of animals, the eyes of the animal will connect the viewer so it's important, this applies to humans too lols ^^

wow, excellent captures! wildlife is indeed challenging to photograph. The terrain looks difficult too.

Hi qwertzy thanks a lot for your kind comment. It really motivate me to do better.

I see your point and agree with your thoughts.
But to be frank, when I saw this young chamois I was so excited for the pics opportunity that I forgot most of the basic... rules .

I need to practice more and improve.

Thank for viewing. Cheers

Hi scenar good to hear you like those pics.
Taking pics in a wilde natural environment is extremely rewarding.
A great opportunity to enjoy and discovery the beauty of natur.

Indeed as you noted the terrain is not easy, follow animals like the chamois in the mountain is quite demanding. But, when you get your pic immediately forget about the efforts.

Thanks for viewing.

Cheers
