Default Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8 Macro vs. Nikon 105mm Macro

I was told that the Tamron macro is compareable to the Nikon macro in terms of quality. Anyone have any comments or experience to share about this Tamron lens?

erm... think it's a short form for a chinese proverb that meant the two lenses are almost equal in performance.

Yeah, it translates to mean "Stalemate" or "deadlock" something like that.
    both are pretty good.

my fren compared both and got the Tamron. He felt the Tamron was very sharp too.
