nice name, nice cat. Pictures can be better. But its tough to get the exposure right for such dark tone cat. =)

i was about to suggest buying a fast lens such as 50mm but seems like you already have it. 50mm f1.8. Anyway, what about trying to use a tripod to eliminate handshake. And also, brightening up ur place as shooting at f1.8 ISO800 1/13" seems like a really dark environment.
Going to face level produces more interesting shot. That said, it doesnt mean that its wrong to shoot top down or bottom up. Shot one speaks to me most. =) Anyway, happy shooting. they are very patient model. curious and also they dont move as much as dogs. =) Regards, tltan |

Show #1 works the best for me as well with the attention and gaze of the cat captured well.
#2 is a little blur due to handshake and the centralised composition seems a little wierd for me. #3 is out of focus and the angle is not flattering to the cat. #4 profile shot dosent work in this case. Perhaps a full body profile with a less distracting background? #5 is a nice attpemt at trying to tell a story but her attention dosent look like its on the fish to me. Titan has a few good tips to get you started. You can also look at the threads by TimberWolf or babykailan ![]() |
