#1 dosent really flatter the dog and all the stray hairs kinda distract and cover the eyes.
#2 is a nice attempt but a little fill flash to bring out the eyes (and rescue soem shadow detail ) would help. #3 has the dog facing a little too much to the right and the red b/g is a little distracting. #4 That blue line at the bottom of the frame is really distracting. #5 is better but if you want to focus on the nose you have to make it the most prominent subject as in tight crop pics its normally the eyes that want the most attention. Hope this helps. |

Hi,
u got the sharpness right. Now you need a lens to get the DOF to accentuate your shih tzu. =) How about a 50mm f1.8? Nikon stop manufacturing them already. time to get the remaining stock before it runs out. I saw quite a few at the shop opposite RUBY. I saw like 10 boxes on the display at the rear of the shop but wonder if those contains anything or just boxes. Doubt it coz the boxes looks new! Regards, tltan |

thanks! 50mm f1.8... very tempting except that I can only manual focus :-(. Actually it doesn't bother me much if its not going to cost me a bomb. :-P **adds to shopping list** Last edited by smoma; 31st January 2007 at 10:19 PM. |
