Hmmm OK. A win is a win, but how you won the game counts also.

OT a bit. Why cant football evolve in terms of refereeing the game? Why cant organizations take advantage of the technology available? Like what is happening in tennis now.

i was hoping they all beat up the referee and get 10 red cards... ! left their goalkeeper for a 45mins unlimted penalty free kick.

lOl.. see the way they play.. a penalty and they walked off. Is that a way for a professional team to play? They surely have attitude problems. For the first half, i bet their coach tell them to make SG players are as many yellows or even red as possble. The game was just starting and almost every tackles they are down, some even need to be carry away!

Look at the way SG played. Although their passing skill and communication are not as good as the thai, they did their best. When a player trip them lightly they scrambled up quickly to continue to attack until another player trip him again(when it a foul this time). Shame to the thai, even the top club in the world have their moment when things doesn't go with them. Even when they are losing, they just control their anger and show their skill on the pitch. They wanted to prove them wrong and fought like a true team.

When i saw the players walking off the pitch, my mind was that the referee will send the whole thai team off and give singapore a 3-1(two goal advantage, as a walkover). But he was kind and patient enough to wait and give thai addition time to fought back. Now i fear for the singapore players who will be travelling to thailand. My mind is thinking about their safely. Will they be alright? Will they die under the hand of the thai boxing!? Nevertheless, i do not think singapore will be able to win the second leg. Most likely a draw or a lose.

Thailand coach Chanwit Pholchivin played his players out by calling for a walkout.
he has nothing to loose because he quitting anyway.

    ref was kind and patient??

he was undecisive and not stamping his authority. the thai coach should be shown the red card together with the players who initiated the boycott

I think the ref's b*lls also quite small lah. When I saw the replays again this morning on the bus, I realised he was pushed several times by the same thai player while protesting the penalty.

I'm not that familiar with the rules but I would have thought that any pushing or shoving of the ref would have instantly earned the player a red card.

I agree with you Hobby, at the first moment the penalty was awarded. A thai player was seen running in and then pushing the refree away. If he was really firm, 2 to 3 players would have been given a red card.

In my opinon, he was pretty nervous and was trying not to show it.

Now the question is how will the game in Thailand be. Will the police there really prevent fights or will they close one eye. After all if their players can behave like hooligans what will prevent their police and citizens to hammer our fans.
