Then I'm back for 6pm show, and managed to have a good spot this time around and taken some shots.....

Who? Me pro? No way. I was using the FZ 7 yesterday at 1pm.

Your pics are much better than mine? Are you using the kit lens 18-135mm?

Actually, I was there the weekend before also with D40. But as late, I ran to Compass Point, I was panting like mad. 99% of the shots were useless due to camera/photographer/hand shake. Got so angry, deleted all the photos.

You need to practise more... Sounds so much like ATP... hahaha

After you run, you have to shoot targets and not miss....

Yes. I am using the kit lens. I play between ISO400 and 640...mostly on ISO640. But some of the photos are blur, especially those with lions jumping across; because I am using AF-S with contiunous shoot mode and the DSLR shakes....

Personally I think there is still lots of room for improvements for me....

Try AF-C... shutter priority at approx. 1/125 and above... and keep the camera tight against you.

Just a thought...the liondance's shooting setting is as follow: shutter speed-1/40 with ISO 640 and with SB800. I am thinking if with shutter @ 1/125, would be the picture be under exposure....If this is the case, what other setting that can be help to get the correct exposure... pls advise.

simple... just bump up your ISO to 1600... why buy a dSLR with superb noise control and yet don wan to make full use of it?

learn to give up some quality before you take better shots.
