Hmmm... sounds like you have no idea about lenses... my advice: stick to the kit lens.
Find you nich or interest in the type of photography. Then, you buy the lens that suits your type of photography. BC |

i dont think you should advise him to get the 17-35.
for a start, 18-200. 17-35 really has it's zoom limits which can be frustrating if you ONLY have this lens and you're out shooting. |

Get all the following:
AF-S 12-24 f/4 DX AF-S 17-55 f/2.8 DX AF-S 70-200 f/2.8 VR AF-S 200-400 f/4 VR AF 105mm f/2 DC PC 85mm f/2.8 Should satisfy 99% of your shooting needs. But seriously... go with the kit lens first. BC ![]() Last edited by Scaglietti; 23rd January 2007 at 05:09 PM. |

like i said, groupies pics ok,in fact one of my favourite lens.
but for candid shots close up, 17-35 really has limitations. |

i guess...to each his/her own.17-35 will only be one of the lens i bring in addition to a zoom. lastly:no one listens to a newbie comments like me anyway.so...of course, by all means...17-35. ![]() |
