Hi all,
Currently i have two flashes as i just bought a D70s and just wondering can SB600 use on F80? Thanks ![]() |

Yes, but not in TTL. Get the SB800 to use TTL on the F80.

i have just read up from the nikon site. i think i getting confuse about it.
It said. Flash Exposure Control TTL automatic control with Nikon F5, F100, F80, F75, and FM3A; Manual control; i-TTL Balanced Fill-Flash with Nikon D2X, D2Hs, D70, F6; D-TTL Balanced Fill-Flash with Nikon D1, D2 series or D100 http://www.nikon.com.sg/productitem....=59-40cf8d7a23 |

I think it should be ok. IMO, the new flashes are supposed to be backward compatible with the older TTL bodies but not the other way round because the newer bodies incorporate new technology which the old flashes cannot accomodate.

![]() Well, TTL, i-TTL and D-TTL are all TTLs, just utilizing different technologies. the old film TTL does not use preflashes, i-TTL and D-TTL uses preflashes and i-TTL is a newer technology. Sorry for the wrong info. ![]() |
