Default Confusion with Nikon DSLR lens

Hi, can someone pls enlighten me on this issue cos i'm such a confused newbie...

I'm planning to get a Nikon D70 body only because i already have a nikon 24-120 AF wide angle lens but the problem is the lens is not the DX series. Its just a normal auto-focus lens which i previously used on my Nikon F70 (SLR) body.

Will the lens work on the D70?? Or must i die-die use a DX series lens for DSLR?

it will work just fine. just that the field of view will be crop cos the DX format is a 1.5x crop of the full frame. (i.e 24-120 becomes 36-180 cos needs to times 1.5x). thats all.

DX cant use on full frame but full frame lens can use on DX lens.

your 24mm will not be the same anymore
if you like WA then you might consider adding a 12-24mm
