Hi To All Pro out there.
I just got my D80 Body only, I need some advise of getting lens, I have been doing some research on both nikon and sigma lens. well i am looking for Good and afforable, sharp lens for Photos like Landscape, close up and wide angle, sigma 24-70 f 2.8 Aspherical EX DG DF, Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX APO IF HSM, Nikon VRII Af-S Zoom-nikkon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6g IF-ED...... Or ............... I just can't decide..... Happy new Year to all readers, i want to decide soon because new year celebration is coming, i need to capture alll nice and sharp photos to post on clubsnap, my first step to photography. Thanks i am not good in words, hoping you all can understand.....

What I can say is if you ask for opinions here, you will get tonnes of diff preferences, I mean the CSers personal preferences who reply to your thread.
I would suggest Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, wide enough for group photo and 50mm can get you half body shots. ![]() |

My most used nikon setup consist of
Sigma 12-24 f4.5-5.6 Nikon 17-35 f2.8 Nikon 28-70 f2.8 Nikon 80-200 f2.8 Sigma 70-200 f2.8 with Sigma APO 2X TC Not perfect but perhaps you can take some reference from there Be glad to help if u have any queries on these lens ![]() |

Thanks bro, i just got a 24-70mmm sigma at only $120 from the distrubutors, i guess i have a lot of lens to carry loh, i have read reviews of 24-70mm is a pretty good cheap lens, it don't cover much range, reviews say that photos taken from this len is brighter in poorly lit areas and good contrast. i wont regret buying it , because for this kind of a price, it is good enough. I would like to go phototaking with you guys and friends, let me join and let me know.... thanks

Hi, i think the 50mm f1.8 is a must have for it is cheap and sharp.
