Try looking for MC-30 or equivalents...

Bought one 3rd party one from someone thru this forum before, do a search in the BnS section.

Which type of Shutter Release Cable are you looking for?
MC-30 or MC-36?
Can try TK Foto or Lords.

Do look for the one that doesn't need any battery(ies) to opperate. This will save you cost & trouble in the future.

I bought my MC-36 from Lords a few months back. Though it has a battery compartment, you need not use any batteries if you just use the shutter release.

What the different between MC-30 and MC-36? Other than shutter release? Oh is there any difference with the OEM one and the Nikon MC-30?

The MC-30 has only the shutter release function while the MC-36 not only has the shutter release function but also a timer release function. The MC-30 is around $80 to $90 while the MC-36 is around $250 IIRC.

Thanks for the Info. Will try to locate a basic MC-30. MC-36 cost too much for the moment.

Not sure if TK Foto still have it.
You can try calling them. Saw one piece left 2 weeks back.

Try looking for a Nikon MC-20 ... you have to get a 2nd-hand one as they have stopped production of it.

I think MC-36 is to replace MC-20 IIRC.

No, I meant MC-20. Electronic release. Unfortunately, it is no longer in production. Only 2nd-hand units are available. It has most if not all the functions of the MC-36 at a fraction of the cost. I am very happy with my 2nd-hand MC-20 unit which I bought from a fellow CSer.

Cool. What's the price of this 2nd hand MC-20 which you've bought?
