Hi everyone,recently got a D200 & am looking for a good wide angle lens.Im a new nikon user so would like to know which WA lens you would prefer if $$$ isn't really a big issue.Would appreciate all the feedbacks

There are also AFD20mm, AFD20-35mm, AFS17-35mm, all are very good image quality.

am using Sigma 10-20mm, good for landscape.... creates more dramatic shoots!

Get Tokina 12-24mm f/4, the diff $ use it to buy a Nikon 50mm f1.4 or Nikon 85mm f1.8 or maybe a Sigma 30mm f1.4.
Coz most of the you don't really use super WA lens that much. For me, use super WA only when I travel. Last edited by yipdanny; 21st January 2007 at 11:12 PM. |

really depends on your shooting style... i got about 30%+/- of my photos done using my 12-24. which is consider quite a lot to me.

I just sold my Tokina 124 cuz it wasnt wide enough as compared to the EF-S 10-22 I used before I switch to Nikon. So I guess Sigma 10-20 is the way if you are looking for extreme wide and more versatile as this is a zoom lens.

but b4 i get e 70-200VR... i already got e 12-24mm f/4 already... but i guess e money is well worth spending but in any case, my support stil goes to TOKINA! TOKINA! TOKINA! |
