Default Unknown model fees for photoshoot

What, in your view, would be a "fair" price for hiring an unknown model for a book cover shoot?

Doesn't say anything or talks too much. As a standard, a workman (in this case a beautufil lady) is worthy of his / her wages. As a standard, pay them industry rares if you are intending to publish your work (web or prints). If for keepsake then nego for lower pricing (30-40% lesser from market rates).

So what's market rates? Anywhere from $50-150. So my guess is as good as yours.

If you find the rate too steep, look for talents, which is a different category to models, and the fees would be lower. For book cover, where height and perfect figure are not as important, I think that is a good way to reduce costs. Look for agencies with talents instead of models. Or there is of course the option of scouting yourself on the streets...but please don't be too agressive.
