    Default Slow Mac

    Hey Mac gurus please help,

I bought a Mac 5 months ago and everything was great, speedwise.
Recently, i've discovered that when i visit sites with a lot of pictures/ youtube / flash sites.
safari just load halfway and stops there and i've got to keep on refreshing it to make it load.
Its the same for downloading files / patches on the internet. It d/l a few kb then hang there.
I've cleared my cache and tried but its always the same results.
So i was wondering what might be the issue slowing down my mac.
Is there something i can do like what we do on the PC like defrag/delete cookies or adware?
    Please advise.
    Thanks!!

U sure it's a hardware issue, and not an internet problem?

    Pretty sure of that.
Usually if its an internet prob, it'll last like maybe 1/2 days but its been 3-4 weeks now.
At first i thought it was the earthquake in taiwan, but i have no probs accessing those sites in office.

if your result is poor.. more likely is your internet speed problem.

My result as for your reference (Starhub max-online 12000) mac n pc about the same.

Not likely a virus in mac.

I get that problem sometimes when using Safari too while Firefox works fine most of the time.

Try using Firefox. If it's still slow, it's your connection.

Singnet corporate lines and residential lines have different access priority to singnet's current limited bandwidth.
