Vacation in Italy – Pompei

Pompei (Pompeii) is an ancient city by the sea. It was shaken by several earthquakes and was buried by a major eruption of Vesuvio (Mt. Vesuvius). I was told that the eruption lasted for 3 days. We can see only the ruins nowadays, but we can still feel the glorious days of this astonishing city.

This is the Basilica, but didn't function as a basilica as we know of today. It was the house of justice.
