Vacation in Italy – Capri

Capri is an island south of Naples, east of Sorrento. It is a lovely island for resort goers and a great place for an island vacation. I was there for half a day and took some pictures of this island. Hope you find them useful for your own plan to visit it.

Almost there!

I'm finally visiting my first sight on the island, Grotto Azzurra (the Blue Grotto). This shot of the turquoise blue water was taken when I was inside it.

The limestone cliffs which can be found all around the island.

Chiesa della Croce (the Church of the Cross) can be found at one corner of the square as you first step out from the funicolare (funicular train) station.

La Certosa di San Giacomo (the Charterhouse of St. Giacomo) that can be found on the other side of the island.

The winding path up the cliff to Giardini di Augusto (the Garden of Augustus).

The Faraglioni rocks near Giardini di Augusto.
