Advice needed: Tripod

Guys, i've got a budget of $250 - $300 max to get a tripod and ball head. Any recommendations on which tripod should i get? My heaviest setup is a 400D + 70-200mm f4 IS. Might consider getting a 580ex in the future, so the tripod and head must be able to support the total weight. What should i look out for when buying a tripod? Thanks.

manfrotto 190ProB + 486RC2... ard $250-300
for lighter setup, slik 330DX + manfrotto 486RC2 or benro alu tripod + ballhead.
