Maybe a bit different. Someone DIY cigarette pack into diffuser for build-in flash. Not healthy choice thought.
Lost the link. Regards, Arto. |

Yup, I saw that too. It's pretty creative. I know that there are bros out there who use cardboards & A4 sized papers too. Cheap & serves the purpose.

Previously someone did post a simple paper cutout template to place between the flash and body of the 350D. It sort of difuse the light. Dunno where the link is now.

Actually I have a piece of white plastic (small whiteboard for school children) which my daughters don't use anymore. Thinking of using that as a bounce card. Looking for some industrial cutter now to cut it. Probably can cut it to 4-6 pieces.

Best result I've had was with a plaster board (construction supply, dirt cheap, used for quick panelling) and a little bit of insulation wrapper. This is highly reflective, but with a pattern on it. Same stuff used for Royce chocolates. Mind you, you can use the Royce wrapper for smaller reflectors!
just stick the insulation wrapper on one side of the plaster board. That way, one side is a nice matte white, the other is a bright reflector. |

Nice DIY solutions. Can someone please post pictures of their solutions so we can copy them? I'm particularly interested in how these are mounted onto/beside the built in flash.

Anybody can help me to cut the thin whiteboard to make it into a bounce card?

Thanks for the link Azul. That was very detailed. Wonder if this solution can be "created" at home instead of bought
