sorry lah.. cannot stand pride & prejudice, bad trip..... the teacher tasked with teaching this book was this spinster who was so pro-Freudian and everything had to be a sexual imagery that it wasn't funny anymore...

all the guys figured that if she "got some" she wouldn't be so anal about sex.

    Anal about sex... Awesome usage

Anyway yea I understand the Freudian teacher, we had one for a short while before we were blessed with one who actually loved literature and taught it with passion rather than mental analysis.

    hey, that's a good read.

Oh, and I absolutely recommend "The Men Who Stare At Goats" by Jon Ronson. It's quite a subtly humorous read that accompanies an indepth look into unconventional psyops stuff done in GWoT.

I read Marley & Me a couple of months ago and I simply loved the book! Being a dog-owner, I can totally relate to the story.

A Briefer History Of Time, Stephen Hawking with Leonard Mlodinow.

yes, that's right. an updated, streamlined and concise version of the original book by Stephen Hawking. includes new discoveries, reorganized and expanded materials on subjects that were at the core of the original edition.

this will keep me entertained for a couple days or so =)

if you enjoyed that, i recommened those by briane greene too. like fabric of cosmos and the elegant universe.

but a note of warning, regarding stephen hawking books, read with some caution. i dun really like his way of forcing theories right by fanciful manupilations.

the best phsyics book i read is the emperor's new mind. roger penrose really argues well about how the world can be explained in a classical way rather than baseless QM and overly mathematical superstring theory. read up on his twistor theory. i find it very very very nicely done.

It was way back in 1998 I think. My girlfriend was studying there and we went to visit the place since we both loved the miniseries (and the book) so much. Velly lomantic heehee

We also took a walk to the lake where Darcy jumped in after a long ride. Good times
