Lexar today has announced 4GB and 8GB Secure Digital cards that adhere to the SDHC specification. Both capacities will be available in both Lexar's entry-level standard and midrange Platinum II product lines, with the 4GB models slated to ship in February and the 8GB models sometime later in 2007.

Lexar has announced new SDHC cards in two speed categories; a standard line conforming to SDHC class 2* (Greater than 2MB per second) and Platinum II which is class 6* (Greater than 6MB per second). Both types will be available in 4GB capacity from February with 8GB to follow later in the year. * Minimum sustained write speed
