Default [Calebk] A photo when possible.

I'll start with photos that I've uploaded on flickr, but never got down to publicising. Hope you enjoy this collection.

I don't proclaim to be a good photographer; I am merely someone who captures light with a light-proof box, that contains some funky sensor inside.

Anyway, here's shot 1, taken straight out of the card, no editing done:

Title: Missing: Two Lovers.

Photo data:
Canon EOS30D
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II
18mm
Manual Exposure (M)
1/60s
f/11
ISO 100
Spot metering.
Flash fired.

Better put this one up tonight, as tomorrow I won't be online much.

Run.

Canon EOS30D
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II
18mm
Aperture Priority AE (Av)
1/13s
f/8
ISO 400
Spot metering.
Flash fired.

A little about this shot: this was purely point-and-shoot. The kid was running towards me so I just pointed and tracked his motion. Because of 2nd-curtain sync, the motion finished off really nicely with a freeze-frame of his movement. The whole thing just turned out better than what I expected.

Hello again, school's reaching it's peak period. Very soon it'll be over and I'll be able to post more regularly. BTW, I just finished my photography final presentation today.

103mm
Aperture Priority AE (Av)
1/320s

Shot during my church's youth conference afternoon sports. This was a street soccer clinic.

Update.

EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk II
50mm (duh)
Manual Exposure (M)
1/125s
f/2.8
ISO 640
Spot metering.
Flash not fired.

This photo is titled 'Lookalike' because of the fact that he resembles a guitarist from my church, who dresses the same way and does the same showy stuff during gigs. (This guy in the photo is not from my church.)

An update is long overdue, so here it is.

This was shot at my church's Christmas Carnival (so it's a backlogged photo). I don't know why exactly I like this photo. I just really like it, maybe because of the timing.

Rented this lens (EF 17-40mm f/4L USM) to try over a weekend, and loved it. Loved the optics, loved the handling. It was a joy to shoot with.

PS: I just noticed there's this funky red light that seems like a laser beam, going through the taxi. Cool!

Although this isn't really in line with the maximum-of-one-photo-a-day, I thought I should post this since it's late ANYWAY.

I know it sounds really emo. Meant to be that way.

This one's dedicated to all those who (like me) had no date, or was forced, by whatever circumstances, to be alone on a day of love and compassion. Cheers.

Looks a tad underexposed, but when I stopped up by 1/3 stop, the flower looked really harshly lit already. Hmm...
