Default SBG outing

Hi everyone

C & C welcome.

Seldom shoot with my Canon so is very rusty, please excuse the poor standard pose, did not shoot much, most of the time talking Hahaha….

Shots taken with Canon 300D, all shot handheld.
I would like to thanks kernik for letting me try out his Macro lens during SBG outing.

#1 #2 and #3 was taken with Canon 100mm f2.8 USM Macro lens borrowed from fellow Cser kernik.

#4 and #5 was taken with my Carl Zeiss 135mm and BMO(Build My Own)lens, but was on different day.

After trying out the Macro lens I found out that the colour are different from my Panasonic.

Hi Steve,

Prefer your previous series though. Just to check if you crop your images, if yes, how many per cent were cropped? I see very digitalised image especially for pic #2.

Thank you Nyxx88.
Me too don’t know what is that, this one is gold, black and white, another one is only black and white, maybe the difference between male and female, me dummy just shoots any thing that moves.

Yes agree with you not a good series, did not used any diffuser to control the flash well with the first three shots, I’ll work on it next time.

Hmmm….. #1- 5%, #2-70% #3- 20% #4- 70% and #5- 5% cropped away.

The size of #2 somewhere around 4mm to 5mm, the surface is almost the same as grasshopper, is not the hairy type of creature, still learning.

hi, Steve,

nice shots.

in #5 flower shot, did you pump up the ISO? the bokeh looks grainier.
pls don't misunderstand, it looks nice, giving another kind of feels, just wondering what causes the different

Thank you Ljung

All my macro pics I set it to the lowest ISO the Camera provide, don't like high ISO because after that you have to do lots of PP, I don't have Photoshop, I'm using ACDsee and try to keep it as simple as possible.

I think because I PP with Unmask and did not remove the noise that's why the back ground looks grainier.
