Default Retrieve pictures of formatted CF card

hi anyone knows how i can retrieve pictures from a formatted CF card? Erm.. the card was full and i back up to a portable hard disk, formatted it and use it to shoot again. Just realised the portable hard disk didnt backup the pictures.. no idea why. Really need to retrieve the pictures desperately.. could anyone help? i read that if the formatted card is used to shoot pics again, it would be close to impossible to retrieve it.. feel like fainting!

Stop any further use of the CF card and send it to IBAS 62965131.

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.
