F707 + Sunpak 383?

Any idea how to make this setup work? Or do I really have to stick with the HVL-F1000? Which would be better to use anyway?

I think Sony 707 can only accept Sony flash. Something to do with it having a cold shoe instead of a hot shot. Not too sure though.

hmm u can just trade it off or mayb go back to the shop for change of item.
