Default 2007 Starter ...

Went to Singapore Botanic Gardens this morning and saw many people taking insect photography. They could be from the photography club. Below is some of my photos taken as follows:

As usual, Canon 20D + EF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS + Canon Closeup 500D + 580EX with omni-bounce, handheld.

the grasshopper with shadow = simple yet extraordinary

the portrait of a toad = interesting pespective with a touch of humour, the 'bow tie' add an extra point

natural light of a couple grasshopper = good light add feels to wat they're doing

Great shots! Just happen to be browsing through the threads and saw your pics. What's the minimum working distance with the closeup filter on the 70-200?

With 500D, focusing distance is 1 feet ( from lens tip to the object ). Apply to all lens + 500D.
