Default Tamron 180mm macro lense

Hi, does anyone uses the Tamron 180mm macro lense would care to provide some comments whether is worth buying. I am looking at the long focal length that will allow a greater distance of focusing as compare to the Nikon 105mm VR micro lenss though both are roughly about the same price. Thanks.

Slow AF . A bit clumsy design for handheld shooting ( I never able to get sharp shoot with < 1/90" speed ). Quite sharp output [but not as sharp when compared to Nikkor 60 micro]

I think this one was snapped using the 180 Di lens.

Hi Henry, since Tamron lens is the primary subject of discussion, please post it elsewhere but here.
