To start off the New year 2007. This photo was taken on 1st Jan 2007 at the Zoo. This Nyala stood out of the herd and being isolated it makes a goot subject to shoot.

I convert this photo to B&W using chanel mixer as I feel B&W will gives more impact to this photo. Please give some pointers to improve. Photo taken inside Vivo city without flash. Subject was 2 crew members of Gotherborg demostrating how to mend the ship's sail.

just my personal opinion...feel abit distracted by the over-exposed white regions...not sure if it is my monitor setting...

The sail and the floor behind the two crew members, seem to blend. Feels weird. What colour was the sail?

I guessed what you've seen is the sunlight casting onto the floor tiles?

I'm still learning how to process my photos. Yup, the funny lights on the floor behind the couple is the sunlight shinning through from the roof. The sail is off-white in colour and they are right in-front of the couple.
Last week, no photo to update cos didnt shoot any.. |

Took this shot from Suntec office tower through the glass without proper gears last week. Just my 350D + 10-22 handheld. The sky was a bit hazzy. Guess I sharpen too much as the original photo is really bad. Just want to share the beautiful view.

Thanks for the nice comment. Credit to the good piece of plastic lens. 50mm f1.8. cheap and sharp.
